<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reel type game machine having a privilege game period variously changeable according to a progress of a game to a privilege game status when a special game is awarded besides a privilege game such as an ART game, increasing the player's expectation to obtain a game medium even when the privilege game is singly awarded without the special game, and promoting the continuation of a reel type game. <P>SOLUTION: The rate of adding the number of games in the ART game status, is set according to a precursor game status or latent game status set before awarding or shift to the ART game status.
