<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a damper in which a ratio of a stroke length to the entire length can be increased. <P>SOLUTION: The damper 10A has a housing 11 that encapsulates silicone oil, a piston section 16 that is provided slidably to the housing 11, a rod 12 that forms a single unit with the piston section 16, and an accumulator mechanism 20, and the piston section generates braking force by means of fluid resistance when sliding within the housing 11 in the axial direction thereof.
