<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter device which can be used in a wide range because the device is thin and can be miniaturized and in which dust deposited to both front and rear faces of a filter can be automatically and surely removed by arranging a cleaning means for the filter, and an air conditioning apparatus with the filter device. <P>SOLUTION: The filter device 10 is constituted by spanning the filter 11 formed by twisting by odd number times of 180° and coupling both the end of the same to form the same into an endless belt shape around three or more rollers 15, 17 and forming the same into a planar shape. The cleaning means 20 for the filter for removing the dust deposited on the filter device 10 is arranged.
