<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect cable damage in a cable of a flowmeter. <P>SOLUTION: A gauge electronic device 20 which includes a driving device 204, a first pick-off sensor 201a and a second pick-off sensor 201b and in which a cable 205 is connected to the first pick-off sensor 201a, the second pick-off sensor 201b and the driving device comprises: a drive circuit 220 which is coupled to the cable 205, generates a drive signal and transmits the drive signal to the cable 205 and the driving device 204; and a signal adjusting circuit 202 which is coupled to the cable 205, receives at least one response signal from at least one of the first pick-off sensor and the second pick-off sensor in response to the drive signal and determines at least either a driving device disconnection failure or a driving device connection direction failure in one or more driving wires of the cable 205. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
