发明名称 Improvements in manufacturing insulating layers, sheets or boards
摘要 799,112. Agglutinated fibrous materials. AKT.-GES. DER GERRESHEIMER GLASHUTTENWERK VORM. F. HEYE. Dec. 1, 1955 [Dec. 3, 1954], No. 34387/55. Class 140. In a process for manufacturing insulating layers, sheets or boards from fibres of glass, mineral or slag, the fibres, produced by blowing through a nozzle or by centrifuging, are carried away in suspension in a stream of air or other gas and a foamable synthetic resin, which will foam and then harden, is injected among the fibres whilst they are still in the state of suspension. The fibres and resin are deposited on a conveyer belt and may be introduced into a continuously working press comprising a pair of pressure rollers. The continuous layer of fibre and foamed resin is cut into lengths after it has hardened. Specified synthetic resins are polyvinyl chloride, polyvinyl acetate and polystyrol. Specified foaming agents are diazo, triazo, nitro or nitroso derivatives, di-isocyanates and bicarbonates. Layers of fibre and foamed resin can be made with open or closed pores by use of suitable synthetic resins and ingredients.
