<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that photosensitive drums 23 and a conveyance belt 31 may be driven even when printing media 100 are positioned more downstream than the position which is in time for transfer of developer images in image forming units 22, thus shortening the service life of the photosensitive drums 23 and the conveyance belt 31 which are consumable supplies. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 10 comprises: photosensitive drums 23 on which developer images are formed; image formation units 22 performing an image generation process by driving the photosensitive drums 23 and forming developer images on the photosensitive drums 23 to transfer the developer images onto printing media 100; and a sheet feeding part (110-1) which is a third medium feeding part feeding the printing media 100 and conveying them to the image forming units 22. As far as the printing media 100 are in the position which is in time for transfer of the photosensitive drums 23 in image forming units 22, the photosensitive drums 23 are controlled so as to not be driven. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
