<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device that stably forms an image of high quality. <P>SOLUTION: A scanning control device determines a corrected light-emitting power signal for suppressing density variation in sub- and main-scanning directions, for each predetermined timing, in each station, on the basis of an output signal of five optical sensors and a signal output from a home position sensor corresponding to the signals output from five optical sensors, and corrects light-emitting power of a light source to be between the minimum rated power and the maximum rated power, while correcting the light-emitting power so as to moderate the change at an extreme value and at an end.
