<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an impulse noise elimination method and an impulse noise elimination circuit, capable of precisely eliminating the impulse noise that occurs continuously as well as a single impulse noise. <P>SOLUTION: A series of processes are executed, which include following processes: a power transition which accompanies time lapse of a reception signal is obtained by a power calculation 31; a movement average for each movement average section is obtained by a movement average power calculation 301 relative to the obtained reception power value series; a section which is larger than the noise threshold value in the obtained movement average power value series is detected by impulse noise detection as an impulse noise overlap section; and the power value of the impulse noise overlap section in the reception power value series is replaced with a certain replacement power value by a power replacement 304, which is taken as a new reception power value series. The noise threshold value and the replacement power value are calculated by a threshold value/replacement power calculation 33 based on the average power value of the reception power value series, while a disappearance process is applied to the level of impulse noise overlap section that is detected in the reception signal by a noise elimination 35. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
