<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a laser beam from being radiated to the outside at timing that is not intended by an operator, in a photoacoustic image diagnostic apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: A probe 11 performs the irradiation of a laser beam guided from a laser unit 13 and the reception of at least an ultrasonic wave. An image construction means 21 generates a tomographic image, based on the ultrasonic wave received by the probe 11. The probe 11 includes a switch 15. When the switch 15 is operated, a control means 22 outputs a laser emission trigger signal, thereby, to enable the irradiation of the laser beam from the probe 11. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
