<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reliably prevent a contact with a drum under rotation. <P>SOLUTION: A protective cover for a winch includes: a drum cover 2 that covers a drum 14 and is freely opened or closed; and a lever limiting body 3 that interlocks with the opening and closing of the drum cover 2 and is capable of limiting the operation of an operation lever 15.
