<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for processing a gear which can process a tooth surface of a gear so as to improve ability for forming an oil film to suppress a power loss. <P>SOLUTION: The device 1 for processing a gear processes the tooth surface 2a of the gear 2 to be processed by rotating the gear 2 to be processed while making a processing gear 3 mesh with the gear to be processed. The device 1 for processing a gear includes a feeding nozzle 4 for feeding fine particles 5 to a space between the tooth surface 2a and a tooth surface 3a in which the gear 2 to be processed and the processing gear 3 are meshed with each other. The rotation of the gears exerts centrifugal forces that act on the fine particles 5, and the fine particles 5 uniformly flow into all over the space between the tooth surfaces 2a and 3a meshing with each other from tips to roots of the teeth. The fine particles 5 are uniformly disposed over the whole tooth surface 2a of the gear 2 to be processed and pushed into the tooth surface to form fine recesses uniformly on the tooth surface 2a of the gear 2 to be processed. As a result, the ability for forming an oil film is improved for the whole tooth surface 2a of the gear 2 to be processed, accordingly, metallic contact is reduced and also friction is reduced, thereby suppressing the power loss. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
