NEW USE OF PERIOSTIN

PURPOSE: Periostin for inducing movement of nerve stem cells is provided to prevent and treat brain diseases and nervous diseases. CONSTITUTION: A kit for treating cancer contains periostin, cells which secrete periostin, and nerve cells which express suicide gene or anti-oncogene. The kit further contains an anticancer precursor which is converted to anticancer materials by the suicide gene. Periostin has an amino acid sequence of sequence number 1-4. The suicide gene is HSV-TK(herpes simplex virus-thymidine kinase) or cytosine deaminase. The anti-oncogene is PEX, Trail, or IFN-beta. A composition for preventing and treating neural disease or brain diseases contains periostin or the cells or neural stem cells secreting periostin.
