<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique which facilitates access to a folder storing a play list. <P>SOLUTION: A PC (Personal Computer) 1 retrieves a playlist folder in which a playlist is stored from a content server 3. The playlist folder is an entity folder for storing a playlist created by a user. The PC 1 specifies a folder to be determined from among folders managed by the content server 3, and obtains attribute information in which information on the folder to be determined is recorded. If the obtained attribute information includes information indicating that the folder stores a playlist, the PC 1 checks whether a parent folder in which the folder to be determined is created is an entity folder or not.
