<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an IP address management method and the like capable of improving the convenience by using a plurality of address acquisition methods in IPv6. <P>SOLUTION: An IP address management method in a device performing communication using an IP address, includes the steps of: acquiring IP addresses by a plurality of methods; in the case that the plurality of acquired IP addresses are identical, storing the plurality of IP addresses so that the respective methods are identifiable, determining an effective IP address to be used for communication from the plurality of IP addresses according to an order of priority that is preliminarily defined for the method, and setting the IP address so as to be used for the communication; and, in the case that the set IP address is annihilated, determining the effective IP address from the stored IP addresses except for the annihilated IP address according to the order of priority, and setting the IP address so as to be used for the communication. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
