<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the recognition accuracy of handwritten characters. <P>SOLUTION: A document processing device holds a printed character recognition dictionary containing information indicating a feature amount of a printed character and a handwritten character recognition dictionary containing information indicating a feature amount of a handwritten character, acquires image data containing a handwritten character string and a printed character string input via an input device, recognizes the printed character string using the printed character recognition dictionary, stores a character string acquired as a recognition result of the printed character string in a storage device as a character string pattern dictionary, recognizes the handwritten character string using the handwritten character recognition dictionary and the character string pattern dictionary, and outputs a recognition result of the handwritten character string via an output device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
