<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively promote growth of crops in a crop raising system. <P>SOLUTION: The crop raising system 1 includes: a light source 2 for irradiating far-red light having a peak wavelength in a wavelength region of 685-780 nm; a control part 3 for controlling light irradiation action of the light source 2; and a time setting part 4 for arbitrarily setting a time zone for allowing the control part 3 to make the light source 2 perform light irradiation action. Then, the time setting part 4 is set so that the light source 2 starts the light irradiation after sun set and the control part 3 controls so that the light irradiation amount of the light source 2 is gradually increased with the lapse of time. Thus, the far-red light gradually increasing irradiance after sunset is to be irradiated on a crop P, thereby, effectively promoting the growth of the crop P. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
