摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive mechanism requiring no installation space for a support shaft. <P>SOLUTION: A gimbal device according to one embodiment of the present invention is provided with a drive mechanism to drive a driven body, and a frame to support one end of the driven body via the drive mechanism and directly support the other end. The drive mechanism is consist of a bearing, rotation support part, a permanent magnet, and a coil. The bearing has an inner ring, rolling elements, and an outer ring, and is fixed to the frame at the outer ring. The rotation support part protrudes from the driven body in a direction of a rotation axis, and is fixed at the inner ring of the bearing. The permanent magnet is fixed to an inner peripheral surface of the rotation support part. The coil is fixed to an inner peripheral surface of the permanent magnet with a distance from the permanent magnet, and generates rotational torque between the coil and the permanent magnet when being energized.
