<p>A process for the manufacture of a low molecular weight hydrocarbon fluid exhibiting mainly oligomerized pentenes, the oligomerized pentenes being mainly comprised of 2-Methyl-2 Butene subunits as well as related plant isoprenoids composed of 2-Methyl-1-Butene subunits and other hydrocarbons, from Euphorbia tirucalli biomass. The process includes the steps of manufacturing a solvent permeable batting mat, extracting the hydrocarbon fluid from the batting mat in a multi-phase solvent extraction process and refining the hydrocarbon fluid.
