<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a television receiver having an anti-theft effect even if not being connected with a LAN. <P>SOLUTION: The television receiver comprises an external memory interface 3 and a disconnection part (a signal output control circuit 6 and a CPU 10). The external memory interface 3 can be mounted with an external memory 300. The disconnection part determines whether the external memory 300 is mounted to the external memory interface 3. Furthermore, if the external memory 300 is mounted to the external memory interface 3, the disconnection part determines whether predetermined information is recorded in the external memory 300.
