<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently execute an overlay program. <P>SOLUTION: An overlay controller includes: an internal memory that maintains a preceding program for at least one of overlay programs consisting of a preceding program and a body program; and an arithmetic processing unit that determines whether a preceding program and a body program for an overlay program to be executed are stored in the internal memory or not, and when the preceding program is stored in the internal memory and the body program is not stored in the internal memory, reads out the preceding program from the internal memory and executes the preceding program during transfer of the body program from an external memory to the internal memory. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
