A slotted concrete fence post is protected and panels wedged against rattling by sliding a plastic circular tube having a longitudinal slot cut out of it over one flange of the fence post with tube slot edges received in the fence posts slots between the post flanges and the panels. A slotted concrete fence post and cover assembly is accordingly provided, the post having two opposing flanges joined by a web to define a pair of opposed vertical slots with fence panels received in the slots, and the cover comprising a plastic circular tube having a longitudinal slot cut out of it positioned over one flange of the fence post with tube slot edges received in the fence posts slots between the post flanges and the panels. Solar or low voltage lights may be fitted to the tube. |
