The connection has a plug (5) provided on an end of one of two pipe sections and comprising one of a helical guide protrusion (6) or a guide groove (7). A connecting bushing is arranged on an end of the other pipe section and comprises one of a guide groove or a helical guide protrusion meshing with the helical guide protrusion or guide groove of the plug. The guide protrusions and the guide grooves comprise radially oriented contact surfaces (10). A cylindrical bearing surface (19) receives a bearing ring. An independent claim is also included for a pipe section for a drill pipe.
