DIGITAL CABLE BROADCASTING SYSTEM CAPABLE OF VISUAL EMERGENCY BROADCASTING AND METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A digital cable broadcasting system capable of a visual emergent broadcast and a method thereof are provided to supply an emergent broadcast without respect to a watched channel in case on an emergency even though a user uses a TV cable network in a building or a zone, thereby economically providing a lot of information about the emergency. CONSTITUTION: A general broadcast providing unit(110) provides a general broadcast by an RF(Radio Frequency) signal through a digital TV cable network. An emergent broadcast control unit(150) provides emergent broadcast content by a DVB(Digital Video Broadcast)-ASI(Asynchronous Serial Interface) mode to guide an emergent situation and outputs a control signal for determining the general and emergent broadcasts. A channel modulator(160) modulates emergent broadcast content of the DVB-ASI mode and outputs an RF signal matched with a band of the general broadcast. A signal converting unit(170) selects an RF signal of the general broadcast providing unit or the channel modulator according to the control signal and provides the RF signal to the digital TV cable network.
