摘要 FIELD: engines and pumps. ^ SUBSTANCE: proposed method comprises feeding working body into absorption chamber, creating plasma nucleus therein, nucleus continuous stabilisation and working body heating. Plasma nucleus is created by focusing laser radiation and initiating optical discharged by laser radiation absorption. Working body is heated on flowing about plasma nucleus to effuse from supersonic nozzle to make jet stream. Laser radiation, transmitted through plasma and not absorbed, is refocused into absorption chamber paraxial area by reflection from wall surface of the nozzle subsonic section. Laser rocket engine comprises system of reflection mirrors, focusing system, absorption chamber, working body feed system, supersonic nozzle and cooling circuit.
