The automatic focusing device comprises an image sensor (1) and a front lens (2) which is arranged through the center of the lens running along a lens axis (3). The image sensor is moved along the lens axis or the image sensor is vertically slanted to the lens axis or the image sensor is horizontally slanted to the lens axis. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) an automatic focusing method for recording an image; and (2) an optical apparatus which is provided as a photo camera or a video camera.
