The component (1) has a solder stop recess (3) that is formed on a top surface. The solder stop recess is formed adjacent to the to-be soldered area in which solder material (2) is applied so that flowing of solder material from to-be soldered area towards a specific side (4) of component is prevented. The width of the solder stop recess is 0.5-2mm. The depth of the solder stop recess is 0.1-1mm. An independent claim is included for method for soldering component.
