<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power conversion device with a small capacitance capacitor which prevents an overvoltage owing to a regenerative operation of a motor. <P>SOLUTION: The power conversion device includes a control section (40) for pulsating an output torque of the motor (5) such that pulsating components of an output voltage of an AC power supply (6) are superimposed on the output torque of the motor (5).
