OPTICAL ELEMENT HOLDING BODY AND STEREOSCOPIC IMAGING APPARATUS USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical element holding body capable of imaging a highly accurate stereoscopic image.

SOLUTION: The optical element holding body includes: a rectangular parallelepiped shaped beam splitter 5 having a rectangular incidence surface 12: a pair of holding members 8 which face each other and to which both end portions of the beam splitter 5 in the X axis direction are fitted; and a base part 9 and screws 10 for pressing the holding members 8 in a direction in which the holding members 8 approach each other. Each of the holding members 8 has a plane part covering the side face of the beam splitter 5 and a peripheral wall part erected from the circumference of the plane part. The overlapping width of a first emission surface of the beam splitter 5 facing the incidence surface 12 and the peripheral wall part in the X axis direction is larger than the overlapping width of the incidence surface 12 and the peripheral wall part in the same direction.
