<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide portable radio equipment having a fraudulent use inhibiting function. <P>SOLUTION: This portable radio equipment 1 includes a timer switch 3 and a timer 4 in the inside, and an exclusive charger 2 of the portable radio equipment 1 has a projection part 5. Only in the state that the portable radio equipment 1 is mounted on the charger 2, the timer switch 3 is turned ON by the projection part 5 and the timer 4 is thus reset. The timer 4 performs count-down when the timer switch 3 is OFF, and the count is reset when it is turned ON. When prescribed time elapses in the timer 4, shifting to a function stop state of inhibiting the use of operations of all the functions of the portable radio equipment 1 is performed. Then, until the timer switch 3 is turned ON, the function stop state is continued.
