OPERATION FAULT DETECTION DEVICE FOR ELECTRIC ARC FURNACE AND METHOD THEREOF

Disclosed are an operation fault detection device for an electric arc furnace and method thereof. The device includes a temperature acquisition device, a current acquisition device and a control computer. A multi-mode fault monitoring and diagnosing method using the device includes the steps as below: 1) data standardization; 2) building an inceptive monitoring module of the electric arc furnace working process, attaining M common subsets of closely related working modes, and special subsets of each working mode; 3) calculating hotelling T2 statistics and square prediction error (SPE) statistics, and conducting fault monitoring and diagnosing for the electric arc furnace working process. The advantages of the invention are that the method of chromometry temperature measuring can improve the calculation precision and the device is adaptable for operating in several different stable modes.
