摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of inhibiting degradation of image quality of a field sequential liquid crystal display device. <P>SOLUTION: Image signals are inputted to a part of a plurality of pixels included in a specific region of a pixel portion, in parallel with light supply to another part of a plurality of pixels different from the part. After image signals are inputted to all of the plurality of pixels included in the specific region, a period for supplying light to the pixels is not required. In other words, immediately after inputting the image signals to all of the plurality of pixels included in the specific region, the input of image signals subsequent to the signals can be initiated. Improvement in the input frequency of image signals (improvement of frame frequency) is thus achieved.
