<p>Provided is an ESD protection device wherein deterioration in the discharge protection characteristics does easily occur even if discharge is repeated. An ESD protection device (1) in which: first and second discharge electrodes (4, 5) are arranged within an insulating substrate (2) such that the front ends of the electrodes face each other within a cavity (3); the front end of at least one of the first and second discharge electrodes (4, 5) is composed of a plurality of projections (4a-4c, 5a-5c); and the outer surface of the insulating substrate (2) is provided with a first external electrode (12) that is connected to the first discharge electrode (4) and a second external electrode (13) that is electrically connected to the second discharge electrode (5).</p> |
