PURPOSE: A wire having a compliant sheath is provided to mount a compliant sheath on a stent wire in order to transfer and retrieve an intravascular stent. CONSTITUTION: A wire having a compliant sheath comprises an intravascular delivery wire(14) having a distal portion and a proximal portion, and a ring(27) fixed to a part of the delivery wire. The ring made of a flexible material mounts a self-extension type intravascular stent in the intravascular delivery wire. The intravascular delivery wire is equipped with a step type intravascular delivery wire. The distal portion has a diameter larger than the proximal portion. |
