<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance fuel consumption and reduce noise by preventing a fan clutch from turning together with an engine when the engine is restarted after idle stop. <P>SOLUTION: In a fan clutch control method, the electrically controlled fan clutch 2 to be disengaged when power is on is interposed between the engine 1 and a cooling fan 3 of a vehicle with an idle stop system so as to enhance fuel consumption by disengaging the fan clutch 2 during power-on when not necessary. The fan clutch 2 is kept disengaged by supplying power to the fan clutch 2 during idle stop. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
