<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink composition which inhibits the crystal deposition of a pigment in an ink, is free from clogging at an ink outlet and has stable printing performance and reliability, and to provide an inkjet recording ink. <P>SOLUTION: The ink composition contains at least the first and second coloring materials and an urea-based compound. The first coloring material is a compound represented by general formula (Y), and the second coloring material is at least one compound selected from a group A (referred to description). The content (mass%) of the second coloring material in the ink composition is ≥0.001 but ≤1.0 by mass ratio, based on the content (mass%) of the first coloring material in the ink composition.
