The chain (1) has a communication device for wirelessly communicating with a motor car by a wireless local area network (WLAN) according to IEEE 802.11standard. The communication device comprises a receiver, a transmitter and a power source, and a display device displays a charge state of a motor car battery. The display device comprises multiple LEDs and a picture screen (3) i.e. liquid crystal picture screen, for displaying information. The receiver, the transmitter and the power source are accommodated in a housing (2). Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a motor car (2) a method for displaying a charge state of a motor car battery (3) a computer program product comprising a set of instructions for executing a method for displaying a charge state of a motor car battery.
