<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a porous metal which is suitable for a current collector of a secondary battery such as a lithium ion battery, a capacitor or a fuel battery, various kinds of filters, a catalyst carrier and the like, and has high corrosion resistance even on the section thereof, and to provide a process for producing the same. <P>SOLUTION: The porous metal which has a three-dimensional network structure constituted of an alloy comprising at least Ni and Cr, the porous metal being characterized in that the porous metal has a framework which is constituted of a shell having a hollow at the center and that when the cross-section of the shell is equally divided in the thickness directions into three portions, i.e., outer, central, and inner portions, and the concentrations, in terms of percent by weight, of Cr in the outer portion, the central portion, and the inner portion are denoted by a, b, and c, respectively, then the a, b, and c satisfy the relationship (1): ¾(a+c)/2-b¾÷(a+b+c)/3<0.20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
