APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING DISTILLED WATER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for producing distilled water which is made compact and low-cost and efficiently produces distilled water.

SOLUTION: The apparatus for producing distilled water is of a multiple-effect type and includes a first thermocompressor 32 which sucks steam generated in one evaporator 10c by first driving steam and mixes both steam to generate second driving steam and a second thermocompressor 34 which sucks steam generated in another evaporator 10b by second driving steam and mixes both steam to generate heating steam. The heating steam is introduced as a heat source of a heat exchanger 12a in an evaporator 10a.
