<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a desktop sharing system and a method for the same. <P>SOLUTION: A desktop sharing system is implemented in a server connected with a plurality of receivers, and comprises: a bandwidth detection module which detects a bandwidth of a first network between a sharing provider and the server, and a bandwidth of a second network between the server and the receivers specified, and sends the bandwidth of the first network to the sharing provider; a sharing data receiving module which receives sharing data transmitted by the sharing provider based on the bandwidth of the first network; and a sharing data transmitting module which transmits, to the specified receivers, sharing data received by the sharing data receiving module with the bandwidth of the second network.
