<p>The present invention relates to a method for grinding corners of a glass plate, which has: a glass plate transfer step, in which a glass plate is transferred in the horizontal direction; a grind stone transfer table moving step, in which first and second grind stone transfer tables are moved in the transfer direction of the glass plate, independently from the glass plate, said first and second grind stone transfer tables being disposed on both the sides of a transfer path of the glass plate and having first and second grind stones movably mounted thereon; a speed difference adjusting step, in which a difference between the transfer speed of the first and the second grind stone transfer tables and that of the glass plate is eliminated; and a grinding step, in which, in the state wherein the transfer speed difference is eliminated, the first and the second grind stones on the first and the second grind stone transfer tables are moved in the direction in which first and second corners of the glass plate are to be ground, and the first and the second corners of the glass plate are ground. Between the glass plate transfer step and the grind stone transfer table moving step, the method has: a corner detection step, in which the first and the second corners of the glass plate are detected by means of first and second detection means; and a move start time control step, in which the first and the second grind stone transfer tables are moved from a stop position, at the time when the first and the second corners are detected by means of the first and the second detection means.</p> |
