DEVICE FOR DRIVING OF MATRIX TYPE LCD PANEL AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY BASED ON THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To take each row distance into consideration and reduce power consumption of LCD driver.

SOLUTION: A device 40 comprises multiple output buffers (41.1 to 41.N) for driving columns of an LCD panel 46. A bias generator 42 is used to supply a common bias current Ibiasto all the output buffers (41.1 to 41.N). Means 43 provides information about each physical location of dots to be driven on the LCD panel 46, by counting the number of load signals (LD) to be input. A switchable current source 42 changes a level of the bias current Ibiasin accordance with the physical location.
