<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve valve timing adjustment response and reliability of locking a rotation phase. <P>SOLUTION: An urge adjusting structure 94 in a sleeve 66 includes a movable member 84, a first elastic member 80 for generating first restoring force F1 for urging a spool 70 in an axial direction, and a second elastic member 82 for second restoring force F2 to be generated to urge the movable member 84 in an axial direction. An engagement condition in which the movable member 84 engages with a spool stopper 707 thereby to transmit the second restoring force F2 to the spool 70 and a restriction condition in which the movable member 84 engages with a sleeve stopper 666b thereby to limit the transmission switch within a diaphragm lock region Rls with a position Pc where the movable member 84 engages with both the stoppers 707 and 666b serving as the border. A contact area of part of the members 84 and 666b where the restriction condition takes place toward a spark-advance region Ra from the position Pc in the region Rls is larger than a contact area of the remaining members 84 and 707 where the transmission takes place in the region Rls. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
