The invention relates to a roof module with a solar module and an erection device for positioning the solar module on a base, in particular on a roof surface of a housing roof. The roof module therefore serves for positioning and fixing a solar module on a building roof for the purpose of converting the energy introduced by insolation into electric energy or heat, depending on whether the solar module is a photovoltaic module for generating electric energy or a solar collector for heating liquids. The erection device comprises at least two foot elements which realize at least the three required erection points. The foot elements each form a channel, the open side of which faces away from the erection point, and the channels of the foot elements run substantially parallel to one another. The solar module is of substantially rectangular design, and the foot elements are arranged on two opposite sides of the solar module such that the channels of the foot elements run substantially parallel to the sides from which the foot elements extend.
