The invention relates to a combination luminaire (1). Said combination luminaire comprises (a) a gas discharge lamp (2), the discharge vessel of which is made of transparent material, preferably glass, and (b) an OLED (3) in the form of a transparent thin layer or film which is applied on the outside to the transparent discharge vessel of the gas discharge lamp (2). According to a method for operating such a combination luminaire (1), when the need for light is high, only the gas discharge lamp (2) is switched on, and when the need for light is low or when the regular power supply fails (emergency lighting situation), only the OLED (3) is switched on. |
