PURPOSE: A system for automatically posting user location information in a social network and a method thereof are provided to safely supply updated information of a location of a moving user to a friend, thereby automatically connecting to a social network based on the Internet. CONSTITUTION: A system interface receives user data which includes a location update activation indicator and at least one location update condition. A navigation engine(330) obtains information about a location of a moving user. A social network client(340) determines that the location update activation indicator is activated. A communication interface(350) automatically posts location update in a social network.
