<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure a sufficient APC frequency and length of time for APC execution by using a common PD for the APC of a VCSEL for use by a plurality of stations. <P>SOLUTION: There are provided a scanning optical system that deflects light beams from different light sources 1 and 1' with common deflecting means, guides the beams to the optical scanning units of stations differing with the light source and causes a light spot to be formed by each beam; monitoring means 13 and 14 that monitor the luminous energy of the beams emitted by the light sources 1 and 1'; and branching means 12 for branching to common monitoring means a part of each beam deflected by a common deflection reflective face 5 of a polygon mirror; the angles of incidence of the beams from the light sources 1 and 1' on a main scanning section toward the common deflection reflective face differ from each other; and the incidence from one light source monitored by the monitoring means is caused to lag in time from that from the other light source. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
