A picture management method comprises the following steps: receiving a picture; buffering the received picture in a memory space; determining whether the remaining size of the memory space is smaller than a threshold value, and if yes, releasing the memory space. In the picture management method, the mobile terminal, and the computer storage medium, it is determined during the acquisition of a picture whether a memory space is smaller than a threshold value, and if the memory space is smaller than the threshold value, the memory space is released to save the memory space, thus providing a sufficient memory space for the processing of the picture, reducing an error occurrence rate during the operations of the picture, and improving the efficiency of the operations on the picture.
