<p>The present invention relates to the technical field of wireless communications. Disclosed are a method and a device for maintaining a timer in a carrier aggregation system. The invention solves the problem of how to maintain a discontinuous reception (DRX)-related timer that uses the number of sub-frames of a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) as a duration statistic unit. In the present invention, a terminal selects a TDD uplink/downlink configuration; determines the timeout moment of the DRX-related timer according to the selected TDD uplink/downlink configuration, timer duration information of a DRX-related timer configured by a base station, and the start moment of the DRX-related timer, and maintains the DRX-related timer according to the timeout moment. The DRX-related timer is a DRX timer that uses the number of sub-frames of a PDCCH as a duration statistic unit. By use of the present invention, the DRX-related timer that uses the number of sub-frames of the PDCCH as a duration statistic unit can be maintained correctly.</p> |
