METHOD AND MOBILE TERMINAL FOR MANAGING ICONS ON STANDBY INTERFACE OF MOBILE TERMINAL

A method and a mobile terminal for managing icons on a standby interface of the mobile terminal are disclosed. The mobile terminal includes an application monitoring device (101), an icon judging device (202) and an icon adding device (203). The method is applied to the mobile terminal configured with the standby interface, and partial regions in the standby interface are assigned as dynamic display regions of the icons. The method includes: after monitoring that a first local application is used, the mobile terminal judges whether the icon corresponding to the first application is set on the standby interface; if not, the icon corresponding to the first application is added to the idle region of the dynamic display regions. By using the method, the mobile terminal will automatically display the icons of the application program or the files commonly used by users on the standby interface, directly reducing the average number of the steps by which the user enters the application of the mobile terminal, and greatly increasing the usability of the mobile terminal.
