摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce FPN in a display image, to improve display quality, and to suppress bright points and black spots to some extent by suppressing unevenness of pixels. <P>SOLUTION: Each of a plurality of pixels comprising a pixel part 123 includes: a liquid crystal display element; first and second hold capacities for separately holding voltage of a positive polarity lamp signal and a negative polarity lamp signal corresponding to a pixel value of digital data; and means for applying first and second held voltage to pixel electrodes in turn in prescribed cycle shorter than a vertical scanning cycle. An external driving circuit switches data in a normal state and data in an inversion state where data values of the data in the normal state are inverted, by one frame unit and supplies pixels with them. When reading pixels, the external driving circuit switches common electrode voltage different in potential depending on whether held voltage applied to the pixel electrode is data in the normal state or the data in the inversion state and whether the held voltage is the first hold voltage or the second hold voltage and applies it. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
